What would you like your character's tag to be?: K'Ehleyr
In 300-500 words total, tell us your...
Character's background (their past and present): K'Ehleyr is half-Klingon, half-human, and as a result, never really felt that she fit into either world. She was able to segue her strengths to the position of ambassador to the Federation from the Klingon High Council. She had a brief fling with Worf when they were both younger and reckless. She was very eager to pick up where they left off when they met again later, but when it came time to say their vows, she panicked. She still holds a candle for him, so to speak. And his child.
Character's personality: Her place between two worlds had created unique opportunities for her. She considers herself twice-cursed: with her human mother's sarcastic sense of humor, and her Klingon father's hot, violent rage. She has segued this into a successful diplomatic career, something many Klingons may not have had the capacity for.
She usually has a no-nonsense approach to her diplomacy, acknowledging full well that sometimes mere talking will not work. Such as when a Klingon sleeper ship poses a threat to peaceful, poorly-guarded settlements, she recommends they be destroyed since they would not listen to reason. This was an option, of course, that Picard did not tolerate.
K'ehleyr has no fear of telling people what she thinks, usually in the form of some sarcastic comment or a joke. But she does have her reservations about her more angry Klingon side. She even breaks a table when she is so frustrated by a situation. However, she has little connection to or respect for Klingon traditions and honor, as shown when she doesn't teach her young son about any of them, and when she asks Worf to be mated with her despite his discommendation. She is aware of them in an academic sense, even if she does not participate in any of them.
Character's skills/abilities/powers: She has all of the strength of a Klingon, but she uses it differently. Instead of overpowering her opponents, she prefers to outwit them, diverting them and hitting a vulnerability.
Any special equipment your character is bringing along? This includes weaponry, magic items, etc.: On the premise she arrives on the ship on some sort of mission or the other instead of blinked in....
But, she will have: a suitcase with some amount of clothes and jewelry and other things "to make [herself] beautiful". But, most importantly, she will have one (1) -6 month old Alexander. That is, she's pregnant. Visibly so. A bump, for the most part.

Why do you want to play this character in Ten Forward, and what do you plan to do with them? I would like to play her because I have a special fondness for her character type, and the opportunity to bring her pregnant, and all the complications that would have was too tempting to pass up.
